Wi-Fi won't turn on

Hi, I have a Acer aspire 4820T and my Wi-Fi won't turn on.
There's no switch and no fn Wi-Fi symbol.. the satellite disk doesnt do anything.

The laptop is fully up to date..

According to the device manager the device is working properly and the drivers are up to date..

I tried turning the network adapter on through the network center and in here it tells its already turned on..

Please help!

Do you simply just need to add the wifi symbol to the system tray in the bottom right?
