Hello everyone ! my name is owismail and i'm gonna buy a new heatsink, i think it has the thermal paste already applied on it. so what's better ?
1: using the thermal paste on the heatsink
2: buying a thermale paste and apliying it myself

Solution
most likely the thermal paste that comes pre-applied to the cooler is not going to be top of the line stuff. That being said what cooler are you talkinga about? Applying it CORRECTLY yourself would cause the cooler to perform a little better but at most only a few degrees C under load. To most people this is not worth the hassle especially if you do not have good thermal paste laying around already. If it were me I would just stick with what came on there unless you are looking for the absolute lowest temps to get the absolute most out of your OC

Solution
If your new cooler has material already applied, go ahead and use it.

Ultimately, most materials will work about as well as another.

If you do need to reapply paste, clean off the old material first.
Alcohol will do the job.

Do not apply too much paste or it will act as an insulator. A small drop is sufficient.

Yes I would definitly stick with what is on the heatsink. Not worth the time and effort to clean it off and apply new stuff on.
