wich m.2 ssd should i buy

i got a z170 pro gaming motherboeard

wich has a m.2 ( socket 3) but i dont know wich m.2 ssd will work

A Samsung 960 Evo or 960 Pro is a good M.2 SSD. Are you sure you need an M.2 SSD? What do you use the computer for? SATA M.2 isn't better than a SATA 2.5", and an M.2 NVMe is only better for transferring huge chunk of data around.

I would get a 960 Evo or 950 Pro if I was you.

Personally prefer m2's because of the neatness aspect & lack of any cables .

True though sata m2 & standard sata are exactly the same speed , the nvme drives are substantially faster but carry a 25% price premium.

I personally like the sata based mx300 , its fast enough , decent priced & you get extra space over other models.
