Hi community,

I'm currently kitting out my new mini-itx build and i'm stuck on the memory due to my (lack of) knowledge about memory timings.
That is, i know enough to know they matter alot, but not enough to calculate wich one will be effectively faster.

This is were you guys come in, so, wich one of those will be truely faster and better for my build?

Option 1: DDR3 2x4GB 1866mhz 9-10-9-27 1.5v
or
Option 2: DDR3 2x4GB 2133mhz 11-11-11-27 1.5v
or
Option 3: DDR3 2x4GB 2133mhz 9-11-11-31 1.65v

Mobo: Asrock mini-itx FM2A88X
APU: A10-6800K OR A10-7850K (not decided yet, but i will only use the integrated graphics for a while and then switch to a dedicated GPU when i saved up some more cash to get a meaty GPU)

thx for any help!

Solution
2133/9 set, Option 3, if you drop them to 1866 should run at the tighter CL8 opposed to the slower CL9 of the native - Option 1 set. And speed (higher freq) does really play in with APUs

All 3 sets are about the same price from where i buy them, ranging from 99euros for the 1866mhz set to 104euros for both 2133mhz sets.

Thx for the tip, i think i will go with those then.

One question to sooth a tiny concern of me though, will the higher voltage (1.65) form any risk for my mobo or PSU when i start overclocking?
I was planning on getting one of the more budgety Corsair CX or CX modular PSUs but i heard those aren't the best for overclocking.
I could upgrade to an RM or AX but that's kinda straining the budget 🙁

Nope, 1.6-1.65 is the norm for 2133 and up, Intel even certifies sets at 1.65, they are perfectly safe. Most (prob 90% of the client builds I do are 2133 and up DRAM, and all my personal/work rigs for the last few years have been (going back to the 1155/P67 era)

Corsair isn't the only company selling decent power supplies. Seasonic, XFX, Antec, EVGA, and some Coolermaster power supplies are of good quality as well. You can never go wrong with a power supply manufactured by Seasonic. Their M12ii series is a great choice With it's low price, and high quality.

And also, I don't think Corsair manufactures their own power supplies. ilI believe they buy some from Superflower
