You might want to explain how you have 12GB's of ram on your build, for starters. Next thing you could do is state the age of the PSU in your build. You can then try and reinstall your GPU drivers, after you've removed all traces of them using DDU.

When trying to reinstall your discrete GPU's drivers, install it in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

I've shoehorned your system's specs from your sig space since sig space specs can and will change over time, rendering this thread and any possible solutions moot to the person ion the same boat as you're ion now.

This is the only game that does this.
You both seem concerned about my Ram ect. My gpu has 12gig within it & I have 12gig ram Installed. Have a made a problem somewhere? Like I said games like Red Dead Redemption 2 run & look amazing on my machine. Its just this game I'm having problems with.

Edit: Built my PC back in 2020, everything was new.

Thank you.

Being as the game is older you might be missing some Direct9 .dll files. Your game is direct 9C. Yes windows 11 has direct 9 but every once in a while a .dll file from the old days needs to added.

Also you could try 2015 c++ redistribution get both the 64bit and the 32bit

Install the 64bit first than the 32bit

where do i place all the direct 9 files?

Run the installer and yes it will say you already have the most up to date direct x already. Sometimes it will let the missing .dill install even know it says your already up to date.

I also would cap the FPS on that game to see if it starts to play nice. Your hot rod modern gear might be pushing the game engine faster than it can run.

Serious Sam The First Encounter is a good example where you need to cap FPS

F.E.A.R the first encounter does the opposite, runs like crap low low FPS, you have to manually take a .dll file and drop it into the game folder than game plays over 300 FPS.

Every game is different "older games" on our faster more powerful gear.
