I have 2 roku setups and am using a tplink 1750 router.
The closest tv shows a signal at the top of the strength range, the furthest tv shows a considerable drop off. So there is a lag loading various applications. Sometimes when I am streaming a video from the computer I start having buffering issues.

What is the best way to boost the signal for the furthest tv.
Should I purchase an extender ? If so which one, don't want to spend much.

I would recommend a wired solution if at all possible. If your roku doesn't have an ethernet port, then use powerline or MoCA to substitute for ethernet cable. Connect a WIFI access point if you have to have WIFI.

you can connect the farther roku to 2.4 ghz which increases the range a lot. still offers plenty of speed for streaming, even if you;re streaming 4k.

i don't bother connecting my roku sticks to 5 ghz and have no buffering issues.
