Should i get a wifi 6 card even if my router is wifi 5? Or is getting a wifi 5 card the better choice?

There are two ways to look at this. An existing "AC" WIFI card will have had several driver revisions and be more stable. A WIFI 6 card will have the possibility of higher performance, but if your WAN speeds are under 200Mbit, there will be no performance improvement. A WIFI 6 card is more immature and an "AC" WIFI card is proven. Only you can decide what is more important.
BUT, before buying a WIFI card, I have to ask -- Have you investigated powerline networking or MoCA (ethernet on coax) ? Both of those technologies provide more consistent network than WIFI.

I'm pretty sure my wifi is fiber optic
