I was told recently I need a wifi adapter my wifi button on my laptop doesn't work is there any specific type I should look for or does it not matter? I don't know much on computers and need help

I have a dell. And I use windows vista

As long as you have WPA/WPA2 type security on your wireless connection, you should be fine with the Edimax adapter I linked to above. You just plug it into the USB port, enter your network name and its password, and you are good to go!

You may also be able to find a place that will actually repair the laptop, but it will be more than $10!
