Bluetooth and WiFi not working on Asus prime x299 deluxe

Hello there

I recently did my first pc build which is based on an asus prime x299 deluxe motherboard.
My first try failed (after installing windows I was getting a 4f error message and pc wouldn't boot)/
Got the second motherboard yesterday and all is working fine apart from WiFi and bluetooth not working. I got a wifi usb dongle that does the job but I am fustrated that I cannot get the onboard wifi and bluetooth to work.

I have:
Updated the bios - twice
Reset the bios
Installed all drivers etc.

the only driver I cannot find is for a ''network controller'' on device manager.

Asus support told me to ask the vendor to replace the board under warranty but this would mean I am without a computer for at least a week which I cannot do at the moment.

Do you guys have any idea of what's going wrong here?

many thanks!

ps. also ram is running at 2132 instead of 3200mhz

If that "network controller" in the device manager has an exclamation point, then that would explain your lack of WIFI.
I see TWO downloads on the ASUS page for WIFI for that motherboard -- https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-X299-DELUXE/HelpDesk_Download/

thank you very much for your reply. I missed the second driver originally. Installed it now and it was indeed the one missing on device manager. WiFi and bluetooth still don't work though..

Any other ideas?

Yeah, had the same problem but found a solution. The MOBO comes with 2 antenna's, you MUST connect those to your computer, after that everything works like a charm (at least in my case it did). At first I connected only one antenna but it's not enough, this costed me about 5 hours of investigating DOH!
