I purchased this card with my recent computer upgrade: http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-WDN4800-Wireless-Express-Low-profile/dp/B007GMPZ0A/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1453190896&sr=8-3&keywords=wifi+card
It is being extremely slow, but I think it's because the antennas are behind my computer and it's in the corner of my big wooden desk in the corner of my room. Can anyone propose any solutions for me? I'm thinking about returning it and getting a card that has antennas that can be mounted on top of the case. If anyone has any suggestions for that solution, please link me to them.
Thanks!

The wifi standard & the capabilities of the router will go a long way as far as speeds, but considering the "line of sight" is significantly hindered with rear antennas in your setup, that won't help either.

If Wifi is the only option (ie you can't/don't want to use ethernet), you may want to explore a USB option opposed to PCIe with antennas. The USB dongles are limited, but there are options where you can move it (just like the antenna, but generally a longer cable). Options being (including 802.11ac AC1900 or AC1300):

I had a USB that worked fine but it stuck out and I kept bumping into it which was annoying, so I wanted a PCIE card with antennas that would be hidden. I think I just need a card with antennas that can be put up on top of my case

I just ran speedtest with my PCIE card then disabled it and ran speedtest with my USB wifi adapter. PCIE had around a 60ms response time, 2mb download, and 1mb upload. The USB, with better placement on the front, has 28ms, 22mb down, and 11mb up...

Alright I'm gonna stop blowing up this thread. I decided to just return the PCIE card and buy this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KTDB5AC/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_dp_ss_2?pf_rd_p=1944687722&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B0091WWNAS&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0CVC4REZNA9CE1XBWXFR
That way I can plug my USB dongle in, which is this by the way, but it says Cisco instead of Linksys: http://www.amazon.com/Linksys-AE1200-Wireless-N-USB-Adapter/dp/B0054YQOM0
That way I can just have it sitting on top of my case out of the way
