hello!
I've been having this issue for the past month and it's been driving me crazy how I don't know how to fix it! Basically, I think my wifi/internet adapter/driver is crashing?? It started randomly and it does it randomly, and I'm pretty sure all I was doing was watching videos on youtube (like I have done in the past and have had no issue's) and then the video started to freeze and I couldn't even refresh the page. My next alternative was to reconnect my internet at the time (from the little internet access icon in the taskbar) But when I opened my wifi list, I noticed at first that my internet access name was the only one in the list, but once reconnected everything reappeared again, and my internet started to work again...so I thought of it as no big deal.
But then it continued to happen when youtube videos kept freezing up for no reason, and the only fix was to reconnect every time. So, I wondered if I pissed off my internet provider and tried testing it on a different internet access...it did the same thing. (skipping ahead to now, now I'm in a completely new state with free wifi, and nothing has changed at all...so they couldn't possibly blocking my IP if I never have been on this internet before)
Anyway, I wondered if Chrome was being a butthead again and tried to change my default browser...still same issue. So then I thought it can't be the actual internet access itself? Now I started to wonder if my wifi adapter was out of date or had gotten messed up for some reason, so I updated everything that was related to that...but I still. have. the. same. problem.
I honestly have no idea why it's doing this, and I don't even know if it's related to a virus or what (but I don't seem to have any other problems out of the ordinary anywhere else on my computer...just the internet)
*Another reason why I don't think it's the internet provider, is because I've been using the same one (in this case comcast, when it started happening) for over a year...and this has never happened in the past on this computer at all, and I've even reinstalled it back to default at one point because I was having problems with something else.
