We have comcast internet service and about 3 weeks ago we started seeing problems with our WIFI connection, it kept timing out every couple of minutes and being REALLY slow we were lucky if we got 1mbps of download speed, so they came and change the modem and it didn't solve the problem so they send another guy today and he took the time to check the connection from our laptop and pc and the problem seems to be our pc because on the laptop we get around 45mbps.
I've tried everything from updating the drives, every Windows and HP related "connectivity issues" how-to's and nothing! I ran out of ideas we even tried a netgear wireless usb adapter that comcast gave us and the connection still gets at most 5mbps.
Could our wireless card be damage?
Our computer: HP Pavilion HPE h8-1220 Desktop
We did upgrade our memory from 10 to 16 gigs a couple weeks back could that affect the wireless card?

Can someone please help us?
