hey im trying to fix my girlfriends computer.

shes using a hp pavilion beatsstudio laptop with windows 8 or ten i really dont know.

im used to windows 7 so bear with me.

the wifi on her laptop stops working it disconnects and acts like it turns wifi off because youre not able to see any available connections then i have to turn wifi back on.

idk if this is a driver problem or what i dont know how to go to device manager on this windows... i found the wifi adapter though its called, Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter.

my girlfriend says sometimes itll disconnect then shell be able to reconnect right away... just to get disconnected a second later.. sometimes it disconnects and wont let you reconnect... idk i guess ill start by updating the wifi driver?

Ok i uninstalled the adapter.. then it re-installed it automatically... then i clicked update driver.. and it said it had the most up to date driver....

It is acting really weird.... i turned wifi on... then it acted like it didnt want to turn on... then it finally did.. and i finally connected... then it disconnected me like a minute later.. now im having a hard time pulling up network and sharing center....

All seems so fishy IDK what to do.

Trying to pull up the settings tab is a hassle in itself... idk if she has some sort of malware thats causing this issue?

she said she had a computer expert download file hippo and it automatically would update her drivers for her and that fixed the problem last time.... idk whats going on please help.

downloaded the driver from HP... downloaded and ran malwarebytes.. zero threeats detected...

apparently my internet keeps cutting in and out randomly?

and ideas why my wifi keeps doing this? i have like 12 network adapters maybe i need to update the other ones as well?

realtek PCIe FE family controller
realtek RTL8188E 802.11 bgn wi-fi adapter
and then a bunch of different WAN miniports

the only one i updated was the 802.11 wifi adapter driver i downloaded it from HP website

btw my laptop is hp pavilion 17 series i believe
