WiFi DNS Issues

So my internet only on WifI isunbearably slow to the point where any videos even on 240p will not stream fast enough to play even for 5 seconds before buffering for 2 minutes.

Windows troubleshooter says my "Wireless Network Card appears to be configured correctly but the DNS is unresponsive."

Wireless Card:
Intel Shirley Peak WiFi-Link 5300 a/g/n 450Mbps mini card

I already tried switching my DNS servers

iPv4 to
primary 8.8.8.8
alternate 8.8.8.4

and

iPv6 to
primary 2001:4860:4860::8888
alternate 2001:4860:4860::8844

But this had no effect that I could see.

1) Wireless signal is max bars all the time. I am 20 ft. from the router
2) No one is in this house but me so I have full monopoly on wireless bandwidth
3) Latest wireless drivers from Intel have already been installed and had no effect. Latest that I know of. Device manager isn't the greatest for latest updates.
----Current driver says: 01/22/2012 driver 14.3.2.1
4) I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. I even reinstalled windows on a fresh HDD wipe and the problem is just there all the time now. It never used to happen for years, now I can't make it work for videos it's so slow.

Any help would be great since Windows isn't finding any issues 99% of the time, where only that one message up above is displayed to me when I click troubleshoot during videos loading.

Thanks guys

P.S. My wired connection is perfect at all times. However wireless seems to work perfectly on some routers and horribly on others. Going to coffee shops present no problems, so I'm not really sure what is going on.

I fixed it. I disabled 802.11n mode. I think my router does not support it probably. I'd be lying if I said I knew what I was talking about for internet crap. I can now watch videos on HD on Gamespot and netflix works again

if you hardwire that computer to your modem and it works fine that way, then it would be something about the wireless connection. (process of elimination). If it's a dual band router, make sure you are connecting the 5ghz speed, and not as guest (according to who made the router).

Also run a speedtest from dslreports.com or speakeasy.net make sure it's showing your internet speed both WIRED and wireless.

Nice, I bookmarked Speedtest.net and it's showing as
13ms ping
4.17Mbps download speed
7.4Mbps upload speed

My wired is almost the same

The main issue I'm still facing is micro-drops. When I play Path of Exile, my wireless has these teensy drops in signal or whatever which causes me to lose connection juuuuust long enough to be forced into the main login screen. I hear that this is normal for wifi on internet intensive games but for me it does happen every couple minutes but not like clockwork, just random.

Anyway, why would disabling 802.11n Mode fix my wifi card's DNS issues? I don't know much about software aside from Windows Vista through to 8.1 and Internet stuff is even worse for me. Only guess I could think of is that the wifi router I have does not support 802.11"n" and that my card was not properly configured automatically by Windows. I guess this might be why my wifi worked fine in some places but not others
