Wifi doesn't work after last night's update.

I'm currently using an Atheros AR7015 Wireless Network (aka TP-link WN821N V3, I know it's old) adapter on my desktop. Up until last night, the internet was working fine but after the Windows update, the network notification displays the ethernet connection icon with an x on it. The wireless adapter is still detected by windows, and according the network connections on the control panel, WiFi is enabled and working. I feel like my problem is so rare that any searches on the issue have been futile. Any help is appreciated!

Nope, I tried and I didn't have automatic restore points turned on.

Tried right clicking the internet symbol in the system tray and choose "solve problems"? Or maybe just click the red X in the notification display.
