Question Wifi extended asking for security

I've reset the extended, tried using my router's password but still nothing. I've connected it with my router with an ethernet cable to my laptop and wife on my phone but still nothing. Not sure if it might be a product malfunctioning and I won't be able to take it back since I bought it a while back but never used it until now. Tried searching for help on the web, but google can be stupid at times and not give me the information i need. Please help.

What specific security information is Wifi extended asking for?

Update your post to include full laptop specs plus make and model phone information.

Router: make and model?

Double check that the laptop only has one network adapter enabled. Either wired or wireless but only one.

On the laptop run "ipconfig /all" (without quotes) via the Command Prompt. Post the results.

[Note: in your post you wrote "and wife on my phone". I believe that you meant "wifi on my phone" but the meaning could also have been something like "wife's phone". Edit to correct/clarify as necessary.]
