Hi Guys,
I'm seeking some help regarding a new WavLink Extender.

I am trying to connect a Yamaha MusicCast receiver at my pool area, and it isn't picking up the signal from any of my Unifi WAP's from the house (although phones etc do)

So I successfully installed the WavLink extender down at the pool area and it picked up the Wifi Signal up from the house, and I could connect with the MusicCast device on the new 'Wi-Fi-2.4ghz EXT' SSID, however it has created it's own IP range, 192.168.10.xx, so I cant connect to the MusicCast receiver from inside the house when on the regular WiFi network which are all on 192.168.99.xx . (which is the whole point, so people can control the pool music form inside the house on the wall tablet control).

I have been given advice that this is because the extender is in 'gateway mode' rather than 'bridge' mode, and the extender is doing its own DHCP thing, so I have reset the extender and tried to set it up in bridge mode, but once I go through that setup process, I can't connect to the extender (either on the musiccast device or on my phone).

I have detailed the steps I have taken below, with some comments, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction and tell me where I'm going wrong.
  1. Reset the Extender. Then search for the extender in my phone Wi-Fi: (wavlink-ac) View: https://imgur.com/Lw8lbTS

  2. Set up in bridge mode as follows. View: https://imgur.com/GbD0Lkw

Any help would be super appreciated.
Thanks all :)

How weatherproof is your situation by the pool? Do you have a shed or something that power runs into, where you can keep your electronics?

If power is taken from the main house, I would use powerline adapters which act as an ethernet line. Then connect another unifi access point to that. That's what I did for my detached garage about 25 yards from my house. Works great!.

Unifi access points are designed for the extreme outdoor temps, but powerline adapters are not.
