Wifi Extender working but no Internet

I had a working Netgear Wifi Extender. I had to change the name on my provider account, which meant I had to change it on the extender. I was able to reset the extender to the default and then plug in the new information. It shows up, and I can connect wifi with the phone, my Mac, the Roku, etc. but then it says I have no Internet connection. I can use the Internet without the extender -- just not in certain rooms of the house. I want to be able to use the extender so that I can have the roku and cell phone usage without 4G
in the living room.

in the wifi router and the extender you have to give each device the others mac info.

Pardon my ignorance ... what's the MAC info? I tried Googling it but got a lot of useless cosmetics information and a bizarre number of sites on planning trips to Dubai.
