[SOLVED] Wifi extender

Hi all

I have a lte router Huawei B525 which I’m currently using,Is there anyway to make my old lte router Huawei B315 as an extender router?

any help would be great

You might be able to use it as a WIFI access point, connected back to the 525 via an ethernet cable. I couldn't find any google hits where anybody had successfully done this. Start with a short 3m cable between the two devices Try connecting to the grey port on the 315 first and use it as a router. If that works, then you could try disabling the DHCP server on the B315 and connecting the 3m cable to the yellow ports. Test the B315 with both wired and wireless devices.

Hi there thank you for your support,it worked well i just used an ethernet cable as i wasnt 100% sure how to disable dhcp,which i would have preferred because my ethernet cable is 5m

3m or 5m doesn't really matter. What I didn't want you to do was start with the units separated by the entire house.
