hi i have a i5 6600k , 8gb ddr3 ram , gtx 980 GPU , Asus Z170p-d3 mobo , D-link dwa 582 wireless AC 1200 Dual Band PCI express adapter.... i keep getting disconnected from wifi, i have already disabled the 'Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power' feature, yet my wifi on PC keeps disconnecting randomly and frequently(about every half an hour to 1 hour) i have the latest windows updates and driver updates installed....is there a solution to this?

Solution
wrong settings is e.g. the power saving mode, like the one you did already.
Since the problem is new, defective hw is still open. It does not have to be 100% dead, 30% deaad is already enough to give you big issues.
3-4 meters away with a wall in between does not guarantee strong signal.

hmm...you can try this too...install a WLAN diagnostic app on your smartphone and see how many WLAN networks are already using your currently used channel.you can then try to configure the router to use the least populated channel.
There are several of problem source to that.
1. Defective hardware (WLAN card and/or router)
2. Bad driver
3. Bad signal quality (weak signal, channel disturbances(too many networks on the same channel), etc.)
4. Compatibility issue between router and the WLAN card/module on PC.
5. Wrong settings (power saving, etc.)
Until you locate the problem, you can not solve it.

this problem has started to occur recently, so defective hardware NO....Bad driver possible but i have uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, bad signal quality - the router and pc are about 3-4 meters away from each other(still cannot use wired because router is in another room) , compatibility issue NO cause i didnt have this problem before , wrong settings- can u help me with that pls
