I stream on twitch and upload to YouTube. I know I know I should run a cable, but I can't because the router is not in my room be cause the cable box has to be with the router in the living room, but for some reason my internet is not as fast as it should be. I have changed channels and done everything. When I go to one of my relatives house with the exact same ISP and router with same speeds I can stream without flaw. I use Spectrum and I am supposed to get 60Mbps. Instead I only get around 10Mbps down with 20ms ping and 2Mbps up. I tested it after I was done do the worlds laggyest stream and tested it and got 65.58 Down with 19ms ping and 4.32Mbps Up. I use the 5g Ghz internet at 80Mhz and I have tried all the channels so I keep it at auto so it picks what it thinks is the best channel. I live in a apartment building so it could be interference. I also am about 30-40 feet away from the router and it passes through a closet and a bathroom to get to it. I have been thinking about getting a power line adapter but I don't think its really that good for gaming and streaming but if you can find one good for that under 50 dollars it would be very appreciated. Also the apartment I live in is crap so I feel like the power circuit are connected together because sometimes when I plug in something the power goes out so we have to flip switches in the breaker box. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Interference is unlikely on the 5GHz signal. But the obstructions (walls, bathroom etc) could well be the problem.

First off, can you take your computer to the same room as the router to test? See what your Wifi is doing with a shorter distance and minimal obstructions. Gives us a baseline to work from.

As for your family members home, it has no bearing on your results. The only consistency there is the ISP. There will be differences in location/infrastructure, layout of the house (potentially construction) etc.

I have moved My whole desk in my room where the walls are not blocking it. It says interference acceptable.

They are about 30Mbps Down and 6Mbps Up and I have 60Mbps internet but I think its because i'm still the same amount of feet away. My signal strength is better though.
