WIFI Home Plugs

I want to buy some TP WiFi home plugs but I have a problem. I'm in a small room which has one plug or socket in the wall. This is plugged into an extension lead with around 6 sockets. Can plug the TP WiFi home plugs into my extension lead?

Are those like powerline adapters? If so no they work much better plugged directly into the wall
