Hello people. Got a strange problem on my old laptop with windows 7 on it. On a guest account wifi icon is missing, it does connect to my home wifi, but I can't connect to new ones. I think I tried anything I could find on the internet, not sure what else I could do. Maybe someone could help me?

Solution
This is by design -- a security feature.

The icon is not there so as to prevent the guest user making any changes to the network, setting up a new network connection etc., whilst at the same time existing network connections will still function.

Thank You for answer. Is there any way to enable it? I did set that account as an admin too btw.

"I did set that account as an admin too btw"

Huh! In your first post you said it was a guest account ? -- please make sure you supply accurate information.
If it's an Admin account, check notification area settings:

Right-click taskbar and choose "Taskbar Settings"
Scroll down to "Notification Area"

If necessary, make adjustments as appropriate.

Good luck and good bye.
