Wifi light going on and off every two seconds

Hello, my Cisco WRTG2 V1 router has been dropping the wireless signal every couple of seconds, with the wifi light going on and off.

Tried a hard reset and disconnecting the power cable, but no success. The firmware is the latest available (1.0.04), and the wired connection works just fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely a faulty router - like most network equipment in that price-band they work fine for so long then become faulty. Time to replace it.
