I am trying to connect to a hotel-type wifi network. My smartphone correctly detects it and asks for the password, and it connects.
But my Windows 10 laptop thinks it is an open network, and connects without password, and then says connected no internet. How to fix it?

Solution
You can try adding in the network manually. However, the first step is to make it "forget" the previous network entry.

  1. In the Windows search, type in "Wi-Fi settings" and click on the search entry with the same name.
  2. Click on Manage known networks.
  3. Select the network entry: EastLobby-guest
  4. Click on Forget.
  5. In the same settings menu, click on Add a new network.
  6. Manually enter in the network SSID and password.
