Hi All,

I have recently built a new pc with a clean, legit install of win 10. I am using a TP Link USB WiFi adapter to connect to my Sky Hub router but available networks shows all my neighbours but not mine!?! My laptop and all other devices can see the router and connect fine.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the TP Link driver (device manager shows device is working properly), checking the WLAN config service is running set to auto and enabled, double checking the router is set to broadcast it's SSID, restarting the router, connecting through TP Link Connection Utility WEP and AP pin, manually entering a new network through the network and sharing settings, and basically swearing lots. I even thought washing the dishes would help....

System
i7 3rg gen
Asus p8 z77-v lx2
12gb ddr3
gigabyte 1050 2gb
60gb ssd with win 10
1tb hdd from old pc
500gb new hdd

Router is approximately 6 feet away and no obvious radio interference in between.

Someone please save my sanity.

Solution
First thing I would suggest is to check and MAKE SURE that your card/usb is dual band compatible and you haven't accidentally set the router to only be broadcasting a 5ghz band. It would make sense that the router isn't being seen in that case.
Try as well to reset the router completely instead of just restarting it.
My final suggestion is to probably avoid using a USB wifi adapter... It would be preferred to have a PCI card.. Might help?
