lenovo 7i laptop
buffalo WHR-HP-G300N router (wireless N)

my android phone working fine on wifi it seems
yep it connects, gets IP address, connect internet

the computer on either Windows boot doesn't
a fresh Windows 10 install
and on the Windows 11 i had tried to update the drivers and reboot

the computer won't connect or no internet or something
i reset the router 30seconds hold, 30 unplug, another 30 while plugged back in

i would consider another router if anyone recommend something stable
maybe even with custom firmware options
but the router usually works ok and probably something with the laptop

Edit: oh what if it's another device I have plugged into the power outlet interfering
I had turned it off and the problem still happening but I could try unplugging it
...nope tried also unplugging it

considering getting a Mac at some point if that fix some problems
or getting laptop warranty services before warranty ends

i unplugged the headphone amplifier and still wifi barely connecting
or just use hotspot

82BH

it's connecting to phone hotspot
but even after changing the SSID of the home network it won't even connect now (completely reset the router)
i reset the modem and seems to be working for now.......
customer service for internet says my router is quite old for gigabit internet and whatnot
that i could consider an upgrade

maybe it's due to the tube amp

but i need to decide whether to get warranty repair on this computer right now before warranty ends
or when to get a new computer...i posted on another thread i've been having trouble with Izotope software
could get a Mac or some desktop PC,

just some reliable stable system
and software that doesn't malfunction

i have a week or two left in warranty
i tried updating my Wifi drivers through intel
certain websites load, and others don't

i had portmaster running but i closed it
getting DNS errors also
so maybe it changed some settings, so now i'm resetting Windows network settings

ok so BigTech blocking was enabled in Portmaster
but i've had Portmaster closed
maybe it changes some other system setting?
even after reset...i've had to open Portmaster to disable that
maybe tweak it more later, or just uninstall it

it has Cloudflare DNS by default
ok hopefully portmaster was the problem; i thought it was maybe an audio amplifier interfering or damaged hardware.

well even intel drivers updates won't download now
Google is on
but Intel was working earlier today
