Question Wifi only works after each CMOS reset ?

I am using a HP envy x360 with intel dual band wireless ac-7260 wifi card. Problem is that wifi only works after a CMOS reset and goes off after restart or shutdown. Only wifi turns off while bluetooth keeps working. Is there a solution for it? I have checked the card in another laptop and it is working fine.

On the laptop are you certain that only one network adapter (either wired or wireless) is enabled?

Only one should be enabled: if you wish to use Wifi then the Wifi network adapter should be enabled and the wired network adapter should be disabled.

How old is the laptop?

Consider a new CMOS battery.

What do do mean by only one adapter should be enabled. Could you please elaborate a bit more. Also post some steps. Thank you. Also it shows that it isn't connected to laptop in device manager.
