[SOLVED] WiFi Pay-as you go Dongle

Can other people see/detect or connect to my Pay as you go WiFi dongle, this is not a WiFi hotspot, only the dongle that plugs into a USB port like a flash drive

If it acts like a normal WIFI card, then, NO. If it can act as an access point and is just powered by the USB, then, maybe.

I have never heard of such device before. I have heard of cellular devices like this but not WIFI.

In some part of Africa, apparently they sell toothpaste by the squirt! (a M-Pesa story) Very enterprising.

In the past I would say NEVER transact $ over public Internet, but these days is almost unavoidable. The careful me says maintain separate accounts, keep big account(s) off public Internet, and use your daily expense on smaller account(s) and if ever hacked, u haven't lost that much.
