Hi,

My Mum doesn't have a fixed internet connection and router she just uses her phone as a hotspot and connects her tablet and laptop to that and now she wants a wifi printer.
At first I was looking at fancy printers that had a hotspot in themselves and you connected your wifi device to it then I thought I can just get any wifi printer and connect it to the wifi network from her mobile hotspot then connect tablet and laptop to it like that. Is this thinking correct?

Cheers

Solution
I see in that case yes, if the hotspot is the "router" then it should work all the same as a typical router wifi in that respect, and guests that don't use the hotspot can also print usinng the wifi direct feature - win / win!

Thats what I was thinking at first but then I realised if i get one of them then I cannot be on the internet and print at the same time so thats why I was thinking of connecting everything directly to the mobile hotspot
