First of all I have a Windows 8 64 bit Acer Aspire computer and I am less then 10 feet from my router. As far I can tell I always have 5 bars full signal strength as well.

My problem is in League of Legends when I get into a match I often suddenly disconnect but its not just from the game no the wifi from my laptop disconnects entirely and I can't find any way to reconnect to my wifi unless I restart my entire computer. I have no problems with any other games or MMOs as far as I know. Disconnecting from my entire wifi network only when playing one single game is a strange problem. So does anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Solution
That is a bit odd, I'd first check for any updated drivers from Acer, chipset, wifi card and BIOS, but checking all of them including video and audio is a good idea.

Don't just look for them in Device Manger update driver options, look on the ACER support page for the drivers.
