WIFI repeatear asking for " Enter network security key"

hello,

I am trying to configure a new wi fi repeater by using 192.168.10.1. But i am not able to connect to the repeater in the first place as it is asking me to " Enter the network security key". I am not sure how to solve this. To connect to the repeater, i am first diconnecting from main router.

It sounds like you need to enter the security info for the main router for the repeater to connect. The repeater may have a WPS option to simplify connectivity. Your router would have to support WPS (and it is a security risk to have it enabled) .

Thanks a lot. I reset the repeater and then it did not promt for " Enter network security key". After configuring it via 192.168.10.1 i had to enter the key which is the same as that of the main router.
