router: NETGEAR WNDR3800
Modem: NETGEAR CM500

My Ethernet plugged in I get 135Mbps which is dandy except the only place my modem can be is super far so unless I want 50 foot cables throughout my house I need to use WiFi.

my 2.4ghz I get 2-9 Mbps (I understand I won’t get 100 on this but I would hope for 20 or more)
My 5ghz I get 50-90Mbps which is great but not all my devices can connect to 5ghz.

the signal on 2.4ghz will just go out randomly and nothing will load.

the cable guy said the room has too much interference so I mounted it in my upstairs hallway by the ceiling with 25ft Ethernet and extension cord.

I’m open to any and all suggestions.

I will buy a new modem and router if you have a suggestion for one that will work better. I just thought these two would be fine for 100mbps connection.

I live in a 2 story 1500 sq ft duplex
