Hello,

I have a HP laptop with a Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn Wi-Fi Adapter which includes Bluetooth.

All the drivers are up to date however when Bluetooth is turned on my internet speed is about 0.40mb/s and when its off I get around 50mb/s.

Is there anyway to fix it?

Thanks in advance

Looks like this is a common prob when BT is turned on. Your wifi gets chopped in half

Try changing the channel for the wireless in the router

If both are on 2.4, there maybe interference / they maybe conflicting
Okay thanks for your such quick response!!

HP said they would take it to replace the adapter however I don't feel comfortable, I feel a bit better knowing this is a common issue well the WIFI card only supports 2.4 ghz.

Yeah, I tried Windows 7 and Ubuntu and they both had the issue. Do you think I should take the laptop to HP for them to replace the adapter as if its common I may not be just with this card?

Thanks again and sorry I'm a pain.

Yeah, HP have limited what adapters can be put into the laptop.

But however all the other laptops I've owned has never had Bluetooth so I don't really think I'd use Bluetooth often anyway.

Thanks for your help.
