WiFi Speed really slow while Bluetooth is on

Using Dualshock 4 on my PC, the usb cord connecting to the controller always disconnects on me while playing Mortal Kombat and it got really annoying. So I grabbed a Bluetooth adapter from Amazon, Started using Dualshock 4 wireless and I noticed my download speed is really slow. My usual WiFi speed on my room is 10mbps, when using the bluetooth jumps down to 0.50mbps which is insane. Is there any way to fix this or I just have to live with it ? My OS is Windows 8.1 if it matters.

Are you trying to use the BT adapter to connect to the internet?

I think I got a bit lost in the language.

Or do you mean when you have the BT adapter in use your WiFi speed drops to a very low speed?

Sorry about that. I have both a Mini PCie WiFi Adapter and a USB Bluetooth adapter. When I'm using Bluetooth, my WiFi speed drops significantly.

Ok so the issue might be interference. Unless your WiFi adapter is running on 802.11ac on the 5GHz band both your wireless and Bluetooth adapter run on the 2.4GHz band.

Are they plugged right into each other? If so try moving one to the back and one to the front or getting a USB extension cord and moving the WiFi adapter away from the Bluetooth adapter.

The WiFi adapter is directly attached to the motherboard and the antennas hang at the back while the Bluetooth adapter is plugged in at the front of my case. Sadly, I don't have a usb extension to try if it makes a difference.

We know it makes a difference when the BT adapter is not being used so we know that the BT adapter is messing with your WiFi signal. The only thing to do is go buy a USB extension and test it in various placements and as well maybe try different USB ports.

The only other solution is to go to a wired network connection.

I just wanted to add that Nate_739 is not crazy because I experience this very same issue. As soon as I connect my PS4 controller to bluetooth, my steam download went from 4 MB a sec to 500 kbps. As soon as I disconnect the controller, bam, 4 MB a sec.
