[SOLVED] WiFi USB adapter getting hot

So my WiFi USB adapter is getting somewhat hot and whenever it does, my internet speed slows down but on other devices is perfectly fine. Is it just my internets problem or my adapter.

Those "nano" WIFI adapters are all junk, IMO. Get the kind with external antennas and maybe even the desk stand that lets you position the adapter independent of the computer.

Maybe thats the reason why its only 8 bucks. Would getting a wifi pci card work better than the one i currently have?

Have you ever tried powerline network adapters? Usually better than WIFI for consistency.
