WIFI works but Ethernet connection not working.

Alright I'll do my best to explain what happened and some events may be unrelated but due to them happening at the same time I think they're worth mentioning.

Was driving back to the apartment to be completely blocked off by the fire department because the center office building was on fire. Walked back home to find our wifi was down. Not sure if there's a relation there (comcast) and could just be coincidence.

AT&T is also installing their new fiber cables into the apartment complex today. Unsure if related.

Went to bed and now our wifi works but our ethernet connection doesn't. Also when turning on the wifi I had to give my router a new password and security questions for some reason. I tried logging onto the router and according to it the connection is good.

The wifi wasn't working 100% correctly and it would only load some websites so I ran a network reset from network settings and that fixed the wifi problems but ethernet still down.

I tried looking at other threads on this topic but didn't run into a solution for what was going on. I tried swapping the cables and we have multiple computers here all with the same issue.

Solution
It looks like your wired ip is public. Make sure your computer is plugged into a working router with a NAT.

The ip should be 192.168.x.x on your computer.

If you have a modem/router combo. Log into it and check the settings to see if it's in passthrough mode. If that's your only router you don't want that.
