Wiil not open on PC

I loaded from my MAC Book Pro and now I want to see the contents of my 1.5TB but will not open on a PC. What is the trick

You need that drive to be in the fat32 format. If you were using windows on it before, most likely it was NTFS.

If you plan to format it as fat32.

Backup your data from your hard drive to an external drive before doing the format.
This is because when changing the format or formatting a hard drive will erase your data.

Depending on the version of OS X you are using formatting the drive using exFAT will work as well and will allow for storage of files over 4GB in size. If I am not mistaken some older versions of OS X may only give you the ability to read drives formatted as FAT32. You would, as was mentioned by Reyaz123, need to move data off of that drive before you format it. I have a couple of external drives I formatted using exFAT and they are easily read by both the Mac and the PC.
