Hey guys,
I like the look of the new Gsync 144 hz monitors and I think it would really be good as I play a lot of fps like CS:GO.

I just want to know that if I get used to a 144 hz monitor will playing in 60 fps feel bad?

As an example, a new game such as a new Battlefield or any other game comes out and i can't run it at 144 fps on Ultra will I have a bad time?

I know how terrible 30 fps is and i don't want 60 to become like that.

Thanks in advance!

Solution
no. in fact there often more issues with 144hz when playing @144fps.
most gpus render frames between 3 and 5 ms. for about 50% of the time on a 60hz/120hz display this isnt really a problem. but at 144hz it starts to become 1.
a lot of 144hz screens suffer shimmering, ghosting and bluring due to high frame latency from the gpu rendering late frames.
also a lot of games only send 60 packets per second so anything over that results in 2 frames being rendered off the same packet info.

so while 144hz is nice to have its not ideal for gaming. 120hz and 60hz are where its at in the real world.

Thanks for the reply. But if i were to get a monitor with a refresh rate higher than 60 (like 120) would it make 60 look bad in other games?

no mate as long as you g-sync the monitor you shouldn't have any issues (for the most part)
if your going g-sync you will get variable syncing where the gpu will wait for each refresh so if you get 90 fps the monitor will synce to each frame. unless your system drops to around 30fps and then you may see stutter as G-sync seems to have issues with low fps.
if you go v-sync then your monitor will refresh at 60hz and force the gpu to run at 60fps regardless of whether it can produce 90fps.

if you go 120hz vsync and your gpu can only produce 90fps then the monitor will revert to 60hz refress and force the gpu to produce 60fps. if your fps spikes and jumps to 120 the monitor will then refresh to 120hz but you will see a noticeable stutter when it happens.
