Will 2 kits of identical DDR4 shorten the life of the motherboard or other components?

I have just bought two kits of Corsair Vengeance 8gb (2x4gb) DDR4 RAM and I have just read that it is better to have one kit of 2x8gb modules because there is a chance that the 2 kits won't work together even tho they are the same kit bought together in the same order as well as putting stress on the memory controller.

Here is my pcpartpicker that shows my current setup with the 2 ram kits

Here are my questions:

  • ■ If I stay with the two identical kits, will that ruin the memory controller because of too much stress?

  • ■ Should I return them and get 1 kit of 2x8gb modules or should I just keep the two kits I have currently bought?

Thankyou

I would go to 2x8GB but not for reason of longevity but because it would leave more space for expansion and easier setup. Also depends on processor but some can have slight advantage with 4x4GB because of quad channel controller.
