Want to swap my MSI B150M Bazooka as it doesn't support anything above i7 7700K and prices are ridiculous on those processors. So my plan is to buy a GIGABYTE Z390 UD and a i5 8600K (Any other recommended combo?). The GIGABYTE Z390 UD supports DDR4 4000 MHz down to 2133 MHz. Does that mean that I can simply swap my mobo and run on the same components as I'm doing on my MSI mobo and it'll just work?

As of now I'm running:

i5 6400
Cryorig H7
GTX 1060
HyperX Fury 2x8 GB 2133 MHz
Corsair CX550M 550W
2x SSD (400+500 GB)

Major hardware changes, such as going from B150 Chipset to Z390 Chipset, normally require a reinstall of the OS.

If you want to try not reinstalling or just doing a repair of the OS, feel free to do so.

i5-9600K
Supported memory: DDR4-2666

Faster memory is often used for overclocking. Using slower speed memory, such as 2133MHz, causes significant performances losses.
