Depends on the game engine.

Fallout 4 also responds well to faster RAM. 32GB is overkill but Kaby and Skylake both are faster with all 4 DIMMs populated than with just 2.

I'm also using a Phanteks TC14PE and I have to run Prime Small FFTs and Intel Burn test at the same time to get it over 70C and that's only on the hottest 2 cores. Overclocked to 4.6Ghz at 1.35v and RAM set to XMP ( TridentZ DDR4 3200 cas 14 ).

Kaby Lake has native support for DDR4 2400 but like with all unlocked core i processors can handle much faster. I personally would go with something much faster. I'd start at DDR4 3600. I'm using DDR4 3200 with my 6700K.

I bought a 32gb set of ddr4 3000mhz but with xmp on it raises cpu temps thats why i was thinking of maybe 2400mhz
i'm not that worried about the speed as I don't think it gives much gain to gaming.....or am I wrong ?
I do some light video editing but nothing heavy and have another setup for the heavy stuff.
This PC is mostly gaming

I see so 4 sticks is better then 2 on this platform ? my last build was a z97 4790k and was told to stick with 2 unless its a work build.
and yes i had very good temps till this new build using the same cooler 27c-30c idle and rarely over 40c gaming, granted i play
mostly mmo's =). now the system sits in mid to high 30's and a background program or open web browser and it can spike mid 40's
to 50's...........i got the 32gb because I had same amount in last build and like to use the extra for Ramddisk

Yep, 4 sticks are slightly faster.

Those temps are absolutely fine.

Use the temp guide in my sig for more info on safe temps and voltages.
