You will probably wind up blowing the power supply and when that goes it will most likely take out the video card as well!

Get a nice 400w ps for 20 bucks or jump on craigslist and find something local.

If you do end up testing it, keep an eye on the PSU heat or for any random reboots means no go!

I actually have a few Corsair 430w power supplies which are not crap at all but when they go on sale they are cheap.

$24

Yes your PSU is very important but I imagine if someone is looking to use a 250w power supply instead of buying a 300w then the $24 power supply is exactly what they need!

When you post this

It does tend to infer that you are suggesting something cheap and generic.
The PSU you linked to is obviously on special offer and you would usually expect to spend around its usual retail price to get a PSU that would be considered adequate in the 400 Watt area.
So the inference that you can get a reputable PSU for the special offer price you linked to is at best misleading and borderline irresponsible.
robjordy is 100% correct, a cheap PSU is a cheap PSU and as such should not be touched with a barge pole.
Yes the PSU linked to is a reputable brand and would be up to the job, assuming you knew about it before hand and didn't run a search to back up what you were saying i suggest it would have been easier all round had you linked to the PSU in question in the first place.

Back to the case at hand.

What is the card ? and what is the PSU ?
Card manufacturers over quote the needed power and some like Dell's PSU's are actually quite under rated.

Mactronix :)
