I am looking at getting a 2560x1440 360hz oled, possibly the MSI MPG 271QRX. I can't find any chart showing me 1440p 10bit requirements for hdmi 2.1. I know DP 1.4 will use dsc but will HDMI 2.1 use it as well? If it does, is the compression noticeable or should I wait for DP2.1?

Well it is quite linear.

If 1440p at 240hz requires 24.62 Gbps then 360hz will require 36.93 Gbps.

There doesn't appear to be any thing above 32Gbps that doesn't require DSC on HDMI 2.1 (Except 10K at 30hz weirdly)

So you might be able to coax it to do it without it, but likely you would need to drop down to 300hz for best results.

It depends on the actual capabilities of the display, because unfortunately HDMI 2.0 got relabeled as HDMI 2.1 for reasons.

With regards to DCS quality, artifacts only really start showing between borders of solid colors. For "busy" content like movies and 3D games, it shouldn't be noticeable.
ye it got renamed, but hdmi 2.1b is full 48Gb version with all features, while hdmi 2.1 can range from hdmi 2.0 to 2.1b in bandwith and features
