Will 300 MHZ less but 2 GB more ram make a huge difference in gaming? will it improve or reduce performance? (which laptops?)

But this one costs less, has less internal memory (which idc) and 2GB less ram, they both have dual graphics card, but the cheaper one (all together mhz of both gpu's add has 300 more MHz Core Speed but instead better pixel shader.
They both have AMD readon 8670M but the more expensive one for secondary GPU has AMD Radeon HD 7620G and the cheaper one AMD Radeon HD 8400, which has better MHZ but other reduced specs just as lower ram and lower pixel shader?, which one should i get.

The first one sports the quad cored A10-4655M apu. the cheaper one sports the quad core A6-5200M apu.

The primary difference is the chip design. the first chip is on a piledriver base, sporting a nice lower level gaming capable igpu, the 2nd one is actually a throw back to the old athlon64 k8 chip designs... it's a very low power draw chip, that amd made for low spec, low power draw systems. The cpu power is very strong against something like an intel Atom, but it really loses out big time against a full sized piledriver mobile chip.

the igpu and cpu strength on that A10 are both pretty much superior to that A6. if you plan to do any gaming that a10 will make a better system. HOWEVER, if you have zero interest in gaming, the cheaper a6 system will probably be the better laptop... as it's battery should last much longer, and it should be "good enough" for word processing and web surfing.

i think you're missing the details about both laptops...
the first one sports the quad cored A10-4655M apu. the cheaper one sports the dual cored A6-5200M apu. the difference between them is like night as day. it's not even close.

Yeah I know what you mean, it just pisses me off the fac tthat they used a better GPU on secondary GPU on the cheaper laptop.................

I was mistaken and corrected my post. And they don't use a "better" gpu on the 2nd laptop, they use a GCN cored igpu on the newer a6, that is much better with power draw... though the a10's igpu should be better overall for gaming and the like.

Ok, simply, get fast RAM, not more RAM. Having an underclocked or slower 16GB of RAM is much worse then having 8GB of fast RAM.

the a6 is the newer laptop. you're mistaking what i'm saying. the a6 uses the cgn cored gpu. that said the older 7620 on the a10 should still be a better gpu overall... even though it's got pretty poor power consumption numbers.

I understand what you're saying but, what makes it "better" even though its older what property of the GPU?, because the 8400 has more core speed, but less pixel shader?

gpus all have different core designs, you can't compare mhz and come up with an idea of performance. for example, my old hd 7770 ran at 1.1ghz clock speed... my r9-280x runs at 1.05ghz clock speed. that r9-280x is more then x2 better then the 7770. its the same thing with the 8400 vs the 7620... the 7620 should have almost 50% more gaming power then that newer 8400 has.
