I'm building my first DIY and have this question after reading that ryzen cpus like faster ram. system rated at 3200. planning to use a B450 board

Solution
Yes it should. Basically all 3600s should be capable of running 3600mhz RAM. The thing people don't realize when their 3rd Gen CPUs can't hit 3600mhz frequencies on memory is the VDDG voltages.

CLDO VDDG voltages are responsible for infinity fabric and some other CPU related voltages. This voltage at default which is 0.95v is set relatively low (you only need this at .95v for 3200mhz frequencies which Ryzen 3000 chips are specced for). Increasing this to 1v or a touch higher will help tremendously to get higher memory frequencies to work.

As said above, this will NOT guarantee 3600mhz RAM will work, however it makes chances incredibly low that it won't work.
well, it should, but realistically, it sometimes just doesn't. 3200mhz and 3600mhz dont amount to a big difference in performance, or even price.
if its below a 10$ difference, get the 3600 and try it and hope for the best.
if its more than 10$ (lets say, 3200mhz is 100$, and 3600 is 120$) you should go for the 3200.
