Hi, I need some help. I have 2x4gb of ram and as newer games come out 8gb seems to not be enough (Warzone). So I want to upgrade to 16gb but don't want to spend too much. I was wondering if I can get another set of the same type of ram (2x4gb), even if it's been 3 years since I bought the other set of ram. Also want to know if my motherboard or cpu will have any issues with running 2 dual channels (4x4gb).

Thanks :)

Your memory info is on page 9 and 10.
https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-b250m-ds3h_e.pdf

It should run in dual channel with 4 sticks if dual channel is enabled.

Your best chance for getting it to work is to buy 4-4GB sticks as a set...but if you want to save money you can buy two sticks with the same specs as the two you have....and most of the time when I mix them like this they work....but you have to try it and there is not as much certainty as there would be with a set of 4 sticks bought together.
