Will 5850's in xfire mode will Run Crysis 2 at max DX11

Hello all.

Can't find any benchmarhs for xfire 5850's. Wondering what the difference between DX10 and DX11 for graphics is and does it make that much of a difference?

Wondering if my system will be able to run Crysis 2 Max out at 1920x1200 -will be playing on Acer G24 Monitor. Even though I have 3 monitors hooked up. Only one is used for gaming.

My rig is OC'd to 4.0ghz.
Vidoe Card xfire is at STK clocks.
And video drivers up-to-date with the latested CCC and profiles.

Pretty sure that will be more than enough, just set the driver level tessellation cap to 16 or 32 to prevent the Nvidia cheat from slowing it down too much.

Thanks for getting back to me about this. So I can play with the D11 patch with the Hardcore graphics update?

What is the difference in all these DirectX....sorry if I sound so noob. I really don't understand the difference.

The difference are mostly in lighting and the water can be nicer in dx11 as well. You won't notice any huge differences as the screenshots show, but it will work fine with dual 5850's I'm sure, just make sure you put the tessellation down in your drivers.

I doubt it, honestly from all reviews I have seen, it will be playable but not at 45-60fps

correction I can not say for sure, but I still doubt it, there are lots of people who will say differently

Hey guys, I put the tessellation to 16x. playing at 1920x1200 [Full Screen mode]. Using DX11 patch + the High texture pack enabled.

Playing single player Campaign with V-sync on.

Extreme Setting: 60fps.
Hardcore Setting: 40fps

Should I leave V-sync on or off? 40fps seems playable at the moment. Will that change online?

Judging by my system specs and my FPS in campaign mode..what settings would you recommend I play at?

This. And keep Vsync on IMO. I don't know why anyone ever plays anything with it off, but some people don't like it for some reason.

Isn't 40fps playable with no issues? Extreme and Ultra is a huge difference IMO....

i find ultra dx11 high res playable at 35fps as long as the difficulty is up
