Will a 32 in tv work as a monitor

Im am putting together a pc build for college. The build is going to be used for heavy programming, gaming and general work. It is entry level but i plan on upgrading overtime. Link(https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZDcQ6s)
With that being said. I was wandering would a 32in vizio d series panel work as a monitor for gaming and general work

They work ok, and are pretty good for gaming if you are not trying to be competitive at E-sports but they are not as good as a proper monitor.
You can have issues if the TV doesn't have an input setting for PC use and even when they have that setting it can be hidden away in a menu somewhere and not named how you would expect.

Overscan can be an issue but the graphics card control panel usually lets you fix that, and text can be blurry and suffer from colour bleed if the TV doesn't have a PC mode for the input because the picture is optimised for bright colourful video not crisp sharp text. Also they have more input lag than most monitors.

Don't let me put you off though, a lot of people do it and are perfectly happy with it. I myself...
