Hello recently i ordered a new FAN (Arctic Cooling F8 3-pin) and an adapter Molex to 3-pin (BitFenix Adapter Molex to 3x 3-pin sleeved) , they called me yesterday and they said that the FAN wasn´t on stock anymore so they have to send me a similar one , ok , problem is that they are sending me the Arctic Cooling F8 PWM 4-pin , as i know the 4-pin should work on a 3-pin connector because he can only use those 3-pins (Positive , Negative and Tacho) and get rid of the 4-th pin (PWM) that i don´t need ... the thing is that the 4-pin connector on the FAN maybe or not fit in the 3-pin connector of the adapter , if so can i cut the plastic or the PWM wire and make it on size and run the FAN normally ? It doesn´t matter if it goes at 100% speed.
